This drawing started as a simple sketch exercise but became a reflection of how I see playfulness in everyday things. I wanted to capture the texture and color of small objects that remind me of childhood—sweet, messy, and imperfect. Using colored pencil and pastel, I layered the shapes to make them feel soft but full of energy, almost like they’re spilling out of the spoon.
For me, Spoonful of Joy represents a mix of nostalgia and curiosity—the feeling of finding beauty in small, ordinary moments.
