Commission Terms

How a commission works

1. You send a request through the form with your idea, size, budget and timing.
2. We agree the brief, size, surface, price and delivery date in writing.
3. A 50% non-refundable deposit reserves your slot and covers materials. Work begins once it clears.
4. You receive progress photos at agreed stages.
5. The balance plus shipping is due before the finished piece is dispatched.

Revisions

Two rounds of revision are included at the sketch stage. Changes to the brief after the piece is underway — different subject, size or composition — are quoted separately.

Timing

Timelines are estimates given in good faith. Hand-made work occasionally takes longer; you will always be told early if a date moves.

Cancellation

You may cancel before work begins; the deposit is not refundable as it covers reserved time and materials. If the artist cancels, everything paid is refunded in full.

Returns

Commissioned work is made to your brief and cannot be returned or refunded once approved and delivered.

Copyright and use

The artist retains copyright and the right to photograph and show the finished piece in portfolio, print and social media. Let us know in advance if your commission is a surprise or must stay private and we will hold off. Commercial or reproduction rights are available for an additional fee, agreed in writing.

Reference images

By sending reference photographs you confirm you have the right to use them.

Commissions are packed and shipped as described in Shipping & Returns, insured and tracked.
